The winners of the 2021 GSM Great Roof Giveaway were announced on September 17, 2021 at the Gooding Group Customer Appreciation Golf Outing. The annual 18 hole golf outing was held at the beautiful Foxchase Golf Club in Stevens, PA.
Bethel AME Church‘s Sparkman Cultural Center located at 512 E Strawberry Street in Lancaster was the recipient of the Grand Prize. During the 2020 Great Roof Giveaway Bethel AME Church won $15,000 toward roof repairs. While onsite making repairs, GSM realized the church was in desperate need of a new roof. As a result, that $15,000 in repairs grew in excess of $100,00 for a new roof.
In addition to the donation of $100,000 to Bethel AME Church, GSM donated $2,500 to three additional organizations this year:
- American Legion Post 429, Ephrata, Pa – This historic building was in need of emergency roof repairs. GSM is not only donating toward these repairs but also will assist with fundraising, design the scope of the work and will provide a 10% discount on the cost of the full roof replacement.
- Good Samaritan Services, Ephrata, Pa – The affordable housing unit they purchased was in need of roof repairs in order to keep families dry. GSM Roofing donated $2,500 toward these much needed repairs.
- Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity, Lancaster, PA – The Habitat for Humanity was working on a project for a home buyer and found the roof was in desperate need of some help. GSM Roofing donated $2,500 as well as dry-in materials to help keep the building dry while the interior renovations were completed.
